evidenced by their creativity and their attention to detail, Jack and
Jerry love to build homes. But, perhaps more importantly, they love to
work with customers to see their dream home become reality. From the drawing
of the design to final brush of paint, the Wheeler family is dedicated
to their customers. With over 44 years of experience, Wheeler Homes has
helped over 1,100 families in several communities realize their dream.
Some of these communities include Bella-Vista (50), Clearview Heights (100), The Dunes (25), Seven Pines (25), Greenbush Acres (70), Tom Thumb (25), Park East (120), Meadowland (55), Parkwood (12) and Surrey Mall (15). These projects are all in the Albany, New York area where Wheeler Homes was founded in 1960. John "Jack" has worked in all phases of home building since his early teens, taking time only to serve his country as a Naval Aviator and to earn a degree in Building Construction. Shadowing his father at construction sites since his early years, Jerold "Jerry" was a natural to follow in his father's footsteps. Jerry has also worked in all phases of home building having majored in Building Construction at Delhi University. Customer satisfaction is Wheeler Homes' primary priority. Jack and Jerry enjoy working directly with their customer from the design through the completion of the home. It's important to them that the homeowner takes as much pride in the new home as they take in building it. Both Jack and Jerry are on the job continuously, available to meet the customer on site. They work hard to keep excellent relationships with their customers both during and after the construction of their home. Wheeler Homes, Inc. is a family owned business and has been a member of the Home Builders Association for 39 years where Jack held a position on the Board of Directors for some 20 years. Eager to keep abreast of the most recent and innovative technology in the building industry, Jack and his son Jerry attended many seminars and also attended the National Home Builders Association Trade Shows for many years. Projects recently completed or currently under construction include Streamside, Fox Hill Phase III (54), Canterbury Crossing (125), Fox Ridge (134), Whispering Pines (8), Stanley Orchards, Pheasant Run, Johnson Estates (8), Orchard Meadows (4), Four Seasons (7) and Warren Farms (10) Maywood Ct (7) & Pressler Woods (2), Harvey Estates (2), River Ridge (2). These projects are in Dutchess, Westchester, Ulster and Orange Counties. Wheeler Homes has also built several hundred homes on scattered lots throughout the years.
